Oracle 10g DBA (ref: 1347ODBA)

Context of the mission

In the context of a major program, Client is migrating a large number of databases

We are actively searching an Oracle DBA to support these migrations. The Oracle DBA will have to demonstrate a specific profile described below.

Period mission

Start Date : ASAP Duration : 6 months (• 15/2/2010).

Language requirement

English, French and/or Dutch. (second language has to be English)

Localisation of the job

Brussels with possibility to travel sometimes to Luxembourg. Databases and database administrators are located in Brussels

Required knowledge and experience

Required level and content of University graduate. At Oracle Oracle Certified education Master (OCM) level

Personal skills

Mandatory: Stress-resistant Problem solving, communication, organizational, time management, and multi-tasking skills. Preferable:

Business experience required

Mandatory: 1-3 years experience in a financial institution or large organisation

Preferable:

Technical experience required

Mandatory: In depth knowledge of oracle databases 10gR2

installation, security, backup and restore, monitoring Excellent knowledge of Quest TOAD experience with PL/SQL Knowledge of Unix (AIX) and SAN tuning

Preferable: Knowledge and experience with Oracle RAC and knowledge of Gird Control is a plus

Functional experience required

Deliver the projects on time with good performance.
Install, configure, and maintains multiple Oracle databases and related products .
Develop scripts, while providing documentation and procedures.
Provide support to internal customers.
Ensure security, data integrity, and maintain a high level of systems availability.
